Sikandar Box Office Collection Day 3: Sharp Drop After Eid
Earnings Drop Post Eid
Salman Khan’s latest Eid release, Sikandar, experienced a significant decline in earnings following the holiday. According to Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 19.5 crore (net) on its third day, Tuesday, after opening with Rs 26 crore on Sunday.
Strong Performance on Eid
On its second day, which coincided with Eid, Sikandar saw a surge in earnings, accumulating Rs 29 crore. Despite this boost, the total collection over three days stands at Rs 74.5 crore. The movie was made on a substantial budget of Rs 200 crore.
Occupancy Rates on Day 3
As per reports, Sikandar had an 18.91% occupancy in afternoon shows on Tuesday. The evening shows witnessed a moderate increase with 25.99% occupancy, while night shows recorded a slightly lower footfall at 25.89%.
Comparison with Pushpa 2
When compared to Pushpa 2, Sikandar appears to be lagging behind. The Hindi version of Pushpa 2 alone amassed Rs 73.5 crore on its third day. Released on December 5, 2024, without a holiday advantage, Pushpa 2 collected a staggering Rs 200.7 crore in just three days. The film had an impressive opening, earning Rs 70.3 crore on Day 1 and Rs 56.9 crore on Day 2.
Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna’s First Collaboration
Sikandar marks the first on-screen collaboration between Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna. Additionally, it is Salman Khan’s debut project with director AR Murugadoss, known for his 2008 blockbuster Ghajini starring Aamir Khan.
Star-Studded Cast
Apart from Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna, the film features Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, and Sharman Joshi in pivotal roles. The movie has been produced under Sajid Nadiadwala’s banner, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
Comparison with Salman Khan’s Previous Eid Releases
Sikandar has outperformed Salman Khan’s last Eid release, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which earned Rs 15 crore on its opening day. However, it fell short of Tiger Zinda Hai (2023), which opened with Rs 33 crore on Day 1.
